Responsibilities included the production (and overall management) of all material costings / material quotations, the initial sourcing and procurement of various raw materials such as aluminium, glass, polycarbonate, steel, timber and vinyl via an electronic RFQ process, vendor management & rationalization, the development and implementation of a cost reduction programme and the man management of three members of staff on a day to day basis.

Hook

Responsible for the procurement of various commodities such as printed circuit boards, bespoke pieces of metalwork, cable assemblies, fasteners, electronic & electro-mechanical components via an ERP System (Epicor Vantage), and the overall management of several high value material quotations for the company’s aerospace and military customers.

Tonypandy

Responsible for the sourcing and procurement of a wide range of commodities for the company including electronic components, PCBs, cable assemblies, plastics and metalwork. Employed as an integral part of an internal manufacturing team producing highly complex assemblies for military, aerospace and industrial applications. Responsible for submitting material quotations on behalf of ACW Technology with a view to increasing company profitability. Liaising with customer representatives in order to develop professional partnerships leading to long term customer supplier relationships. Preparing extensive cost analysis reports, benchmarking, managing obsolescence and monitoring currency fluctuations. Controlling the introduction of alternative materials particularly those affected by the introduction of RoHS. Employed to bring extensive knowledge of particular markets into the company, thus providing opportunities for major cost reductions.
