Founding member, board member, and current president of the foundation. The foundation is focused on developing and implementing a community based model for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) activities for our youth. Our goal is to create community based centers that offer STEM activities including Robotics, Electronics, and IT classes to make them as available as youth sports and other activities (Scouts, 4H) for our youth. Through this we hope to grow the next generation of engineers and technologists.

Leading creation, development, and execution of a Big Data practice area closely linked to InCadence strategic competencies in Biometrics and Data Architectures.

Working with the Area Senior Mentor and Regional Director to support local FIRST teams and spread the word about FIRST.

Coordinates league play and team activities. Grew division from 5 to 10 teams and started a second division.

Provides oversight and guidance of research and engineering activities across the corporation including serving as technical lead in the development of proposals and research white papers. Serves as a subject matter expert on Big Data Frameworks for Army, DARPA and DHS cloud computing research efforts. Supports innovation and standards efforts for Big Data as a core contributor to the NIST Big Data Reference Architecture and Technology Roadmap. Supports, Big Data standards participating in InterNational Committee for Information Technology Standards (INCITS) Ad-hoc Big Data working group and the ISO Joint Technical Committee Big Data Study group. Performing, directed research on benchmarking and optimizing distributed cloud computing frameworks and on integration of GPU acceleration with-in the HADOOP Map/Reduce Framework. Currently, working with Army and IC community cloud computing efforts researching and implementing aspects of data ingestion, indexing and storage and inter-cloud communication. Currently developing top level concepts and architectures for a federated cloud computing model which leverages a data agnostic unified data storage framework and semantic models of data representations to facilitate remote execution of advanced analytics across multiple cloud environments. Lead author on multiple technical proposals rated Outstanding by government source selection board.

Provides oversight on internal research efforts in areas ranging from advanced dielectrics and energy storage to high powered switching and 3D electrospinning for generation of tissue scaffolds. Manages day to day operations and finances for research subsidiary of Data Tactics.

Responsible for coordinating and guiding technology efforts across the organization. Works closely with program managers to identify core technology areas for advancement and to assure technology approaches consistent with corporate and DoD standards. Identifies relevant technologies for transition to DCGS-A and other major DoD programs of record. Coordinates with senior government and industry partners to identify and integrate SAIC developed technology into major programs. Serves as senior technical lead on strategic programs and efforts tied to new technologies and/or customers. Most recently lead the development and integration of a highly integrated sensor processing tactical capability for Special Operations Command. Leveraging this capability developed larger marketing and product line strategies for tactical data centers and sensor processing software baselines. Contributed to or led several large technical proposal efforts resulting in business growth and access to new customers. Responsible for leading major intelligence transformation efforts within the Army and Joint community. From initial concept to implementation provided management and engineering expertise for the Joint Intelligence Operations Capability - Iraq (JIOC-I). Worked with senior Army staff to identify and structure the requirements and overall approach and then lead a forward deployed implementation team which developed the Initial Operational Capability in less than 6 months. Following, IOC provided engineering and management support for the ingestion of numerous theater and national data sources into the largest consolidated intelligence database in theater.

Responsible for management of major military intelligence related programs at OSC. Manages a diverse Integrated Product Team (IPT) responsible for engineering, design, development, and integration of advanced intelligence, collaboration, analysis and database systems. Responsible for coordinating daily operations, support activities and maintaining system availability for the world wide user base. Designed integrated video display and distribution system and network cable plant and collaboration architecture for the 12 Million dollar expansion of the Information Dominance Center (IDC) for US Army INSCOM. Lead the overall design of the Information Dominance Center Network (IDCNet) and managed all activities supporting the accreditation of the network under DCID 6/3 criteria. Primary technical interface between the Total Information Awareness (TIA) program and INSCOM for the integration, evaluation, and demonstration of TIA technologies on the operational IDC network. Mr. Boyd recently lead the systems engineering and integration team for Project Morning Calm (PMC), a multi-year Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Army experiment to provide improved situational awareness, I&W, horizontal intelligence integration and collaborative technologies within the combined forces environment in the Korean theater. Under PMC Mr. Boyd and his team implemented the Information Dominance Center (IDC) Combined Analysis and Control Center (CACC) experimental network and visualization environment linking diverse elements of the 501st MI Brigade s combined intelligence operations including connectivity with remote detachments stationed along the DMZ, the Airborne Reconnaissance Low (ARL) platform, and the Deployed Intelligence Support Element (DISE). Implemented in less than 12 weeks.

Responsible for day-to-day management of all department programs and efforts. Monitor budget and contract status for all programs in department. Provided support to the division in the form of estimates, proposal development, sales materials and briefing development, and other marketing support activities including demonstrations, sales calls, trade show support. Dual hatted as the Director of Technology for the DoD Division responsible for the integration and migration of division infrastructure into the Northrop Grumman corporate structures. Managed the migration of all network and e-mail systems with minimal disruption to network users. Responsible for oversight of five geographically dispersed programs with over twelve (12) million dollars in annual revenue including direct management of the largest effort. As program manager let the recovery and growth of the LIWA IDC development and integration program from near collapse to forty percent (40 %) growth in nine (9) months. Led continued program growth from four million per year to over twelve million per year for fiscal year 2002. Grew program staff from 2 full time equivalents to over 12 full time equivalents in three years. Provided sub-contractor management and contractual oversight to ten (10) subcontractors and consultants on the Land Information Warfare Activity (LIWA) Information Dominance Center (IDC) development and integration effort. Developed business plans and strategic visions to map an overall path to 20% year-to-year revenue growth for the operation. Supported key proposal efforts and provided technical support to major programs including the Air Force Theater Battle Management Core System (TBMCS) and Land Information Warfare Activity (LIWA).

Programming specialist responsible for development and support of interactive computer graphics in support of national command level and control systems in the World Wide Military Command and Control System (WWMCCS). Developed numerous enhancements to the Graphic Information Presentation System (GIPSY) to improve I/O speed, reduce memory requirements and provide enhanced user interface capabilities. The GIPSY system provided a 4GL command language with capabilities for data retrieval, map generation, and overlays, tabular reports and computation, and business graphics displays. Served as technical lead for government acceptance testing of the WWMCCS Standard Graphics Terminal (WSGT) and the design of the WSGT Intelligent Terminal System.
