I also managed a very complex link architecture assuring the ship's ability to perform all BMD missions.

USS Fitzgerald DDG-62

As ships Electronics Material Officer managed 20 electronics technicians and interior communications technicians in the preventive maintenance and repair of all communications, navigation, and radar equipment. Also served as ships Maintenance Officer (SMO) responsible for coordinating all off ship maintenance with the ships Port Engineer and the Combat.

Performed as Radar and Identify Friend or For (IFF) filed service engineer conducting corrective maintenance and troubleshooting worldwide on board US Navy vessels. In depth knowledge and training on all IFF systems currently deployed in the fleet as well as several radar systems. Also deployed word wide to conduct C5RA/Pre-INSURV inspections throughout.

MNSTC-I Multi National Security Transition Command Iraq

While assigned to Joint Forces in Baghdad, Iraq, designed and installed the first all digital computer, cell phone, and satellite communications network for the Iraqi armed forces. Also installed communications equipment and trained the Iraqi Army, Navy, and Air Force with radio and computer equipment on Iraqi military bases all over Iraq.

USS Ramage DDG-61

Responsible for all Communications, Navigation, and Radar equipment on board, managed a division of 21 technicians in the daily performance of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. During this tour deployed in support of 9/11 as radar/missile shield for Washington, D.C. Also qualified Combat Systems Officer of the Watch and Combat Systems.

Commander Operational Test And Evaluation Force (COMOPTEVFOR)

As Operational Test Director (OTD) Tested and evaluated Satellites including SHF follow on, EHF, and UHF such as UFO-10, Satellite systems GBS, GIMINI, and Radar systems such as DSAR-11 air search radar, and the IFF/UPX-37 Interrogator system. Responsible for developing and executing test plans then writing comprehensive reports advising the Chief of Naval.

Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE)

Deployed world wide in support of unified commands and special forces as communications technician team chief. Provided secure telephone, data, and internet communications from any location in the world. Daily duties included set up and installation of mobile satellite systems, CISCO routers, hubs, and switches for secure and non-secure computers, phones.

Charleson, South Carolina

Performed duties as Radar/Communications Electronics Technician and work center supervisor on board USS MacDonough, home ported in Charleston, SC. During this tour deployed in support of Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Also primary technician for all AIMS MK XII IFF equipment, and SPS-10 Surface Search Radar, plus all ancillary system equipment.
