Leading a team of Commercial and Procurement professionals in delivering all aspects of commercial governance across the maritime support service business including the development, negotiation and execution of customer and supplier contracts ensuring compliance to regulatory frameworks and delivering value to both customer and supplier networks.

Analysis and development of the Procurement System in Aerospace to deliver a cost effective procurement system that achieves best value for money when purchasing goods and services. • Provision of Procurement expertise on agreements, purchasing and tenders. • Analysis of the procurement system (people, tools, processes) and development of improvement initiatives to achieve best procurement value for money. • Responsible for the recommendation, negotiation, approval, lifecycle management (including dispute resolution) and placement of contract / sub-contract orders & administration of contracts for the line of business and Aerospace Business Unit. • Management of the Export Controls (including ITAR) compliance framework including appointment of Responsible Persons, training, audits and implementation of compliance actions. • Analysis, reporting and recommended actions on the management of approved suppliers to achieve best procurement value for money. • Act as a champion for the implementation of continuous improvement within Aerospace Procurement System (Tools, Processes and People). • Regular auditing and reporting of procurement activities to ensure they meet governance and regulatory requirements. • Administration of the procurement delegation of authorities, including compliance reporting against governance and training requirements. • Responsible for the collation and reporting of Procurement metrics within the Balanced Scorecard to demonstrate compliance to governance requirement and management of cost drivers.

Served in multiple locations over a twenty year service career. Retired from the RAN as a Warrant Officer Stores Naval (WOSN), my last posting was Maritime Headquarters as the Fleet WOSN with sea training group who were responsible for assessing and approving the readiness of Navy Ships to deploy.Awarded the Conspicuous Service Medal (CSM) for services to the Royal Australian Navy in 1999.Awarded the Peter Mitchel Trust as Senior Sailor of the year 1996.
