I have extensive expertise in treasury, corporate finance, and accounting with over 15 years of industry experience, including senior management and leadership experience. I have worked both within corporates (leading a function) and professional service organisations (providing advisory services to a wide range of industries). I have a growth mindset and strive to continuously learn and develop, both professionally and personally, and take a keen interest in mentoring and developing others.I am currently the Head of Treasury & Corporate Finance at ElectraNet where I am responsible for leading the division; building out the teams capabilities; and maturing the function in a contemporary and well governed manner that supports business continuity and organisational resilience. Interfacing directly with the Groups Board of Directors, Executive, and Senior Management teams, the role is accountable for the strategic leadership, oversight and management of: a multi-billion dollar global debt capital markets portfolio and derivatives portfolio (interest rate, fx and commodity risk management); the Groups target capital structure and credit rating; liquidity and working capital; the treasury management system; long-term financial modelling and planning, project investment analysis and valuations, capital allocation, enterprise/equity valuations; and Board / Executive Management reporting. I have Board and Board sub-Committee’s experience through my roles as an elected Board Member of the Australian Corporate Treasury Association (ACTA) and a Finance and Risk Committee member for the State Library and Public Libraries of South Australia. In these roles I provide independent oversight, accountability and subject matter expertise, as well as contributing to the overall governance and strategic direction of the organisations.Previously, I worked in treasury advisory and external assurance at Deloitte where I gained exposure to a broad range of industries particularly across energy and resources, commodity markets, infrastructure and utilities, telecommunications, financial services and government sectors. I managed the Adelaide Treasury and Capital Markets division and was a director that led a national team across Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. During this time, I obtained experience in: derivatives, valuations, financial risk management strategies, internal control reviews/audits relating to treasury functions, treasury policy reviews, external treasury audits, technical financial instruments accounting and hedge accounting advice.
