• Manage numerous large USAID development contracts, grants and cooperative agreements (programs) in the areas of agriculture, education, health, stabilization, infrastructure, economic development, and governance for one of the most kinetic districts in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan• Engage with high level Afghan government and private sector leaders to resolve conflicts and identify development needs• Work with US and Afghan military to direct development resources to meet post-conflict stabilization needs• Monitor and manage contract/contractor/grantee performance and direct remedial actions where necessary.
