1.Assists with the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of the IT dept2.Work with administration and staff to assess and respond to IT needs3.Hold regular departmental meetings to review strategic goals and initiatives, promote team building and work to provide growth paths for staff4.Supervise the ongoing operations of the IT department providing quality and timely support to employees concerning hardware and software needs5.Provide day-to-day supervision and delegate work assignments for all IT personnel6.Assist in recruiting, hiring, and providing appropriate training for IT support staff7.Assist in planning and administering the department budget8.Identify emerging information technologies to be assimilated, integrated, and introduced within the company infrastructure9.Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages.10.Assess new computing technologies and the feasibility of system enhancements to determine potential value for RAHP11.Supervise the ordering, acquisition, inventorying, and disposition of hardware and software12.Serve as primary contact with outside vendors in the generation of bids, contracts, agreements, and other major vendor interactions13.Maintain the integrity and continual operation of the company network including the inter- and intra-building wiring plant and wireless networks14.Ensure the continual functioning of mission critical operations15.Maintain security and privacy of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment16.Develop, review, and certify all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans17.Perform other duties as assigned. Combined three systems into one system integrated with our financial database resulting in cost savings.-Project manager for the upgraded waste management system on the web presses.-Project manager for the replacement of our copiers and faxes resulting in substantial savings.-Reviewed the phone system and found new long distance carrier resulting in substantial savings.-Project manager for upgrading and implementing secure access to company programs through Citrix Presentation Server.-Implemented company wide roll out of new Exchange 2003 server.-Implemented upgrade from NT4 domain to Active Directory.-Responsibilities included maintaining the above systems, writing reports for multiple systems, maintaining multiple databases, providing help desk services to end users, installing, configuring, maintaining and upgrading Microsoft Windows and Apple systems and software.
