Asset management of 18 large scale district heating schemes featuring a mix of domestic / commercial / retail customers. Assisting with reducing thermal losses / compiling data for trend analysis / lifecycle analysis / capital replacement fund advice / the odd bit of project management and much more. Project management of small / medium and large scale DHN installations

As Operations Manager I am responsible for project managing all aspects of installation to HVAC/ electrical / mechanical fit outs from initial enquiry /design / installation and after sales support. Site visits to manage the installation / contractor management.Working from drawings utilizing applicable regulations.

Ultimately responsible for the safe operations and maintenance for a current 30 district heating schemes across London and the ongoing management, development and mobilisation of a team of Engineers providing planned and reactive maintenance services.Responsible for the interface to over 12'500 Customers across a number of sectors, commercial, industrial, residential totalling 60 Mw heat and power export (CHP) Biomass and over 90 Mw heat via gas fired Boiler plant.Further responsibilities include managing all SHE activities including site tours, inspection, safe systems of work, ensuring all activities are accurately recorded and delivered through the asset management system, technical and statutory compliance, procurement and finance management and managing all Sub contracted activities.Additional responsibilities have been covering Client asset management (Swan housing & L&Q housing etc) and supporting other functions of the business.I.e. Business development, design, projects, commercial, finance, customer services etc and delivering, exceeding contractual and commercially biased KPIs.Asset exposure includes a variety of of CHP, gas boilers, oil boilers, biomass boilers, heat/cooling pumps, Chillers, thermal stores, plate heat exchangers, water treatment systems, BMS, HIUs, distribution networks, HV/LV apparatus etc.

Responsible for a team of 3 Supervisors and eight Engineers providing reactive and planned Maintenance and reactive repairs to a portfolio of 25 Legal & General pension fund owned Commercial premises in the square mile and west end.

Supervisor of a Team of roughly 10 mobile and static Engineers providing Mainenance and reactive services to around 70 Government Court Buildings.I loved this job with a real passion and the people there were great. One minute you are talking with well educated high court judges and the next you are amongst the prisoners in the cells fixing lighting toilets or alarms. I would possibly be there still had it not been for a change of contractor from Emcor - a company I loved. The TUPE from Emcor to N.G. Baileys was like reinventing the wheel to make it square.
