I currently serve as the President and Managing Member of Brickman Capital, a financial advisory firm focused on multifamily credit investments and capital solutions. I was previously CEO of NewPoint Real Estate Capital, a company I had the privilege of founding and leading for over three years. During my tenure, I helped NewPoint become one of the fastest-growing commercial real estate finance firms in the U.S., focusing on the multifamily, residential, and healthcare markets. I also recently served as a senior advisor to Stone Point Capital, a leading private equity firm in the real estate and financial services sectors. Before launching NewPoint, I was the CEO and President of Freddie Mac, where I guided the company through significant growth and industry challenges, including the complexities of the COVID-19 crisis. My time at Freddie Mac was marked by a transformation of the multifamily business, increasing production substantially, and the creation of the K-Deal securitization program, which has become a leading product in the structured finance market. My academic journey includes doctoral work at MIT, and degrees from Harvard, and the University of Pennsylvania. I've also enjoyed sharing my expertise as a lecturer at George Washington University and Johns Hopkins University, and I am honored to be a non-resident Fellow at the Urban Institute. Additionally, I hold a U.S. patent for an innovative mortgage-backed security structure.
