Global Facilitator For The 2003 Convention For The Safeguarding Of The Intangible Cultural Heritage
CurrentGlobal Facilitators are trained to deliver workshops and other interventions to Member States who have ratified, or who are at various stages of ratyfying, the 2003 UNESCO Convention on the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. They are also responsible for guiding Member States as to how to identify, document, inventory, and archive local intangible cultural heritage elements and to further provide advice on the need for policy and legal framework within which Member States can act in adherence to the 2003 Convention. There are approximately 100 such Facilitators in the world.
