I am a retired Detective Sergeant having served 30 years in Derbyshire Constabulary. 27 of these I served as a Detective involved in some of Derbyshire's high profile investigations throughout that time period. Those cases were complex and major and at times involved a high degree of risk management. Since my retirement I have returned to Derbyshire Constabulary and I am now serving as an Investigative Skills trainer. My areas of expertise are Advanced and Intermediate Investigative interviewing and Domestic abuse and child abuse investigations. I am also an accredited interview advisor. In my new role I have completed a Certificate of Education and Training and I am currently close to completing my Diploma in Education and Training. I love sports and music and of course my family. I am fortunate in that I can combine two of those passions into one as my son is a member of an Indie rock band who are becoming very successful locally . Part of my leisure time is taken up with trying to be their Manager, PR representative and all round logistics coordinator. I consider myself to blessed in many ways
