About David Brudvik
I am a professional construction estimator/project manager with 45 years experience. I started my career estimating large production framing projects, residential subdivisions and apartment complexes and evolved to civil, structural steel, commercial, federal, military and a nuclear project while embedded with Fluor Corp. I have been project manager on up to 3 residential developments concurrent and typically managed over 400 units per year. I have managed schools, larger commercial remodels and office projects. I can estimate large civil projects efficiently and with ease and have estimated high-rise structural steel and 7 floor downtown underground/aboveground parking. I have estimated large windmill foundation projects in different states (2 projects per day) and many above ground storage tank projects including elevated oil tanks on piles in Louisianna. I also have more than 10 years contract negation, scheduling and management experience.I use such estimating software as PlanSwift, EarthWorks Pro, BlueBeam, Sage, Construct Connect, RSMeans, InEight and others. I am adaptable to any software.I am highly productive, prompt, reliable and enthusiastic. I work excellent with others and develop great vendor relationships. I have excellent math and takeoff skill and have handled up to 14 large military projects ($15 million to $100 million each) at a time as estimating manager.I have three years college towards my construction management degree in the 1970’s but did not complete my Bachelor’s degree. My decades of experience more than make up for the last year that was required for my degree.I am looking for a remote position requiring only small travel (I am willing to do initial site visits anywhere), either as a project manager, senior estimator or estimating manager. I can easily obtain security clearance (I make frequent visits to military bases and estimated the Plutonium Processing Facility at Savannah River Site in South Carolina and the Nuclear Weapons Storage Facility at Minot AFB in North Dakota).
Listed skills include Commercial Construction, Bids, Construction Estimating, Commercial Real Estate Development, and 13 others.
