Information Manager, System Administrator, Information Processor
Following my military retirement I signed a three year contract with the RCMP and in 1998 was appointed a Public Servant. I was employed with the Eastern European Organized Crime Unit (EEOCEU), Toronto Integrated Intelligence Unit (TIIU), Integrated National Security Enforcement Team (INSET)-Counter-terrorism, and the Combined Forces Enforcement Team. I was employed as an Office Manager, Information Manager, Visa Analyst, System Administrator for Major Case Management (MCM) and an Information Processor. I was the Communications Security Officer (COMSEC) for INSET and CFSEU from 2001. I volunteered as the Union Steward for 11 years and taught harassment in the work place investigating a number of incidents on behalf of the union and the RCMP. I also was elected as the chair of the Health and Safety Committee for five years. As the system administrator I supervised a staff of four in preparing disclosure for law enforcement units and Crown prosecutors, set up electronic court disclosure and testified in MCM cases. An Information Processor requires document analysis and information input according to a rigid MCM process.
