CurrentManaging a world-renowned, prestigious furniture showroom with a turnover of over £2,000,000 per annum, I am responsible for leading a team of three sales consultants. A key responsibility is driving sales. This includes supporting my team’s discussions with customers and if needed stepping in to help close sales. I monitor all orders and handle all customer care matters, liaising with factories as well as the delivery company. Where necessary I attend home visits if there needs to be an inspection of furniture due to after sale issues. I am involved in the recruitment of showroom staff, their training and the monitoring of their performance as well as the organisation of staff rotas and turnover reports. I liaise regularly with Senior Management from both Roche Bobois and Harrods.A further key responsibility is the maintenance of high showroom standards; I regularly attend product selection conferences in Paris, selecting key models and ensuring their prominent display in the showroom through careful use of accessories and lighting to maximise the customers’ experience of displayed products. In order to maintain sales results, I review results on individual products, ensuring the displays are achieving maximum results.I recently attended training from the independent coaching company Capkelenn on both sales skills and coaching techniques to further enhance sales results.
