Business development for the Technoform Bautec Division, research industry trends, develop and implement marketing and sales strategies. Responsible for managing projects and product development in a global, cross-functional team environment.

Manage a team of 7 salesmen in a 5 state, $10 MM sales region. Develop strategic action plans with targeted customer base to optimize manufacturing capacities through aggressive, consultative sales to the Pro Builder community.

Developed and implemented national training seminars for internal sales force and customers nationwide. Researched and created seminar presentations, manuals, programs for specifier certification courses, and all internal/external educational offerings for our engineered lumber products and services. Led several cross-functional task teams to develop training materials and courses to meet customer specifications. Developed and communicated consistently with Regional and Divisional Management teams on strategic training goals and objectives for a new sales organization.

Sales and Marketing Management - development of sales and marketing plans; supervision of market development and primary product/service demand generation. Resource Management - recruiting, hiring, training, and management of sales representatives in $50MM – 6 state sales region. Business Management - including budgeting of sales, expenses and profit; forecasting; tracking of actual results against plan and taking appropriate actions to resolve variances. Management of customer problems, warranty claims and dispute resolution. Development of builder programs and promotional activities; management of pricing; introduction of new products; customer and competitive analysis

Developed and managed a $5.0MM sales territory. Grew territory by over $1 MM in 1998. Worked closely with all aspects of distribution network including wholesalers, retailers, architects, engineers, developers, builders, framers, and homeowners. Active instructor at Trus Joist Regional Training Schools. Developed and managed innovative sales incentives at wholesale and retail levels.

Assisted in the growth of Weyerhaeuser/Cleveland’s Engineered Wood Products' sales from $0.5MM in 1993 to $5.5MM in 1997. Managed $2.5MM EWP Sales territory on the south/west side of Cleveland. Developed sales incentive programs with all local Key Dealers.
