I was responsible for all of engineering and CTO responsibilities for the combined companies.While at White Pine my responsibilities included: helping to form the strategic direction for the company's products and to put in place and maintain a world class Engineering, QA and support team spanning three different sites; . This team reached 40 people due to my assistance in acquisition and integration of different companies and technology.White Pine was successful in a number of products ranging from Mac and PC Terminal Emulation, X Windows Technology and then moving into the leadership role in Internet/Intranet Desktop Video Conferencing.I was the key driving force in changing the company's focus to Video Conferencing, making the initial contact and relationship with Cornell University (CU-SeeMe) and directing the company into conferencing standards.I played a significant role in bringing the company public in 1996.

Contributed to the core Operating System technology that is part of the IBM UNIX systems today. Did significant work with MIT on X Windows bringing it to IBM and commercial market place.
