David Burch has spent 26 years in the business community. He began his professional career with one of the largest retailers of casual furniture in the United States, where he rose rapidly through the ranks of management. As a result of improved customer satisfaction and productivity gains, Dave was asked to join the management team of the largest retailer of children’s specialty playground equipment in the country. His success in these endeavors led him on the road to entrepreneurship in the food service industry.Dave began his investing career at the age of thirteen when he purchased shares in IBM, which he held for almost 20 years. This initial entrée into the financial markets, his many successes, and his strong customer service orientation, started him on a career at a privately held investment boutique. His career then led him to join Oppenheimer & Co. At Oppenheimer he began to develop a keen understanding of the financial industry, an understanding furthered by his tenure at Investec Ernst & Co., which he continues to develop at Maxim Group LLC.Dave studied at the Binghamton University, The State University of New York, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree after four years of intensive study.
