As the Accounting Manager and sole accountant for Trinity Services Group, Inc., a 360 million dollar correctional food service & commissary contracting company, with 300+ locations, over 2000 employees in the U.S., the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, I reported directly to the Vice President of Finance. My responsibilities encompassed the entire Financial Accounting function beginning with reconciling & consolidating the detail from A/P, A/R and Payroll into the General Ledger through the analysis and reconciliation of all Balance Sheet and P&L accounts, culminating in month end financial reporting to the corporate officers and the corporate office of their parent company, Compass Group, USA., the largest food service contractor in the world.• Selected Contributions: Provided financial data and accounting services in connection with 2 changes in ownership, including accounting methodologies, information conversion between accounting systems, and updating processes/procedures. Developed a Microsoft Excel system to automatically import and aggregate data from 3 different systems (Financial, Cost and HR/Payroll) to track real-time variances to budgets and trends to react more efficiently to problems and minimize financial loses. Developed a Microsoft Excel system using SQL and Visual Basic computer code to automate month-end close and P&L & Balance Sheet generation for 300+ business units by linking Excel to the financial, cost and budget systems. Reduced month-end close from weeks to days.  Established a budgeting system for 300+ individual business units to build and automatically consolidate budgets for review then aggregate and import into the accounting systems. Created an electronic conversion system to externally transfer financial data between 3 accounting programs (SAP, ACCPAC & Microsoft Access) to liaise between charts of accounts.

Hired as a disbursement technician in August, 1997, and promoted 8 months later to Research and Adjustments, I gained extensive knowledge in all aspects of fixed and variable annuity administration, including accounting, business systems, operations, procedures, rules and laws governing annuities and customer service. I was the veteran technician in the department for nearly a year. Responsible for maintenance of fixed and variable annuity contracts, both financial and administrative; processing financial transactions, research and correction of contract errors, clearing of suspense accounts due to policy maintenance, customer service, and training team members.

Responsible for the balancing function of all bank applications: DDA, Savings, Certificates of Deposit, Individual Retirement Accounts, Loans and Bank Tellers. My responsibilities also included account receivables from correspondent banks and the Federal Reserve, cash items, ACH research and adjustments, correction of bank errors and reconciling official bank checks.

Responsible for administration of a food preparation facility, supply request and distribution, accounting and quality assurance. Awarded three Army Achievement medals for outstanding service and an Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service beyond the call of duty while in Germany. I also completed an apprenticeship program, certifying me as a "Chef" by the U.S. Department of Labor. Honorably Discharged.
