About David Burrows

I am an expert in the compliance requirements of self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs) having worked solely as an SMSF auditor since 2005. I am currently one of the directors of Baumgartner Super, a specialist SMSF audit firm, where I lead a team of 14 professionals providing services to more than 200 accountants Australia wide. I am very experienced in compliance issues encountered by SMSFs and provide solutions to accountants to ensure legislation breaches are rectified to enable SMSFs to retain their complying status. My experience in the industry is acknowledged by presentations I have been asked to give for the Taxation Institute of Australia and the National Tax and Accountants’ Association (NTAA) to accountants around Australia. More specifically, as co-presenter of the NTAA’s Super Basic seminar series I have prepared and delivered more than 20 seminars to thousands of accountants.
