I lead the teams that ensure all HealthPartners pharmaceutical therapies are safe, effective and affordable Pharmacy is a complex topic. If you're not a pharmacist or in the pharmacy benefits industry, it’s hard to understand. I’ve been in the pharmacy business for approximately 35 years in roles that span hospital, retail and specialty pharmacy, and now in the health plan setting. I oversee all pharmacy departments at HealthPartners, including pharmacy health plan and pharmacy operations in the hospitals and clinics in the care system. My mission for the health plan is to translate my industry knowledge to help employers feel comfortable that they and their members will get value from their pharmacy benefit plan. Some behind-the-scenes pharmacy benefit details and decisions can have a big impact. It’s important to get them right and for employers to understand what they are signing for. I try to be an advocate for those that are purchasing. And I try to ensure that we’re making working with us as easy as possible.
