New architecture resulted in improved concurrent audio capability, leading to new features.• Rolled out new Agile Software Development process to local development team.• Successfully represented Nokia as an audio processing expert in a high profile litigation case at the International Trade Commission (ITC).• Successfully lead a small team to implement a new, efficient, large vocabulary speech recognition and text-to-speech engine which was integrated in to many Nokia’s S40 mobile phones.• Integrated and optimized an efficient DSP speech recognition algorithm, which became Nokia’s first Voice Dialling product feature. Two world-wide patents granted as a result of this work.• Developed an enhanced speech feature extraction algorithm that is widely used in Nokia’s mobile phone products. This work culminated in a technical paper being published, that is now well cited in the relevant literature
