EY’s Global & Americas Blockchain Assurance Leader and member of the Financial Services Office, focused on meeting the Digital Asset needs of Asset Managers, Banks, Custodians, and Exchanges. Leads the EY Digital Asset Research Center, a team dedicated to supporting Assurance, Tax, and Consulting engagements. As specialists, this team leverages a technical understanding of distributed ledger technologies and custody solutions to build tools and serve the blockchain and digital asset ecosystem. Regularly works with regulators in jurisdictions across the globe and key industry groups to share knowledge and develop best practices concerning accounting treatment, auditing strategies, compliance, and valuation of digital assets. Before working in industry, received a PhD from the University of California, Davis in Philosophy with a focus in Cognitive Science, teaching courses such as "Minds, Brains, and Computers." Also taught for Santa Clara University and the University of San Francisco, receiving a Bachelors in Accounting. Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of California.
