Responsible for the development, integration, and implementation of a broad range of public relations activities that support the strategic direction and positioning of the organization and its leadership. Served as a spokesperson and ambassador for the organization to drive broader awareness and donor support and directly managed EA’s internal communications operations and strategy. Managed a team of communications and marketing staff responsible for EA’s varied and integrated communications products and services including: newsletters and other print publications; web, social media, and other online communications; media and public relations; and marketing efforts. Ensured proper systems were in place to facilitate clear, consistent, and efficient communications among EA’s leadership and staff, promoted dialogue across departments and centers, and supported the work of agency-wide committees.

Managed agency-wide internal and external communications. Developed short and long-term strategies to expand Educational Alliance’s profile and influence; collaborated with program leaders to support internal communications and marketing efforts; managed, promoted, and supported brand identity, including social media and website presence; developed fundraising campaigns to meet development goals and cultivate new supporters; and managed and promoted opportunities for press exposure.

The CARLE Institute for White Educators in Independent Schools was an annual summer program structured to give white faculty members the necessary historical framework, interpersonal skills, and curriculum development strategies they need to teach a diverse student body. The Institute educated participants about white identity development and prepared white educators to take an active role in the diversity and multicultural efforts of their school communities.
