As an IT Systems Administrator, I am responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of RHEL 8 and Windows 2019 servers, ensuring their proper operation and uptime. I utilize my expertise in Powershell scripting to speed up troubleshooting and create scriptable solutions for various issues that arise. I am also responsible for managing Veeam backups and ensuring data integrity.In addition to server maintenance, I am responsible for managing and remediating issues with McAfee and other monitoring software, such as SNOW. This includes ensuring our antivirus software has received updates, responding to alerts from our SOC, and ensuring we are following any guidelines laid out by the laboratory to maintain their accreditation. I manage the packaging and patch management of software deployments through SCCM, and create change requests to deploy new software and updates while minimizing downtime and ensuring system stability.
