Responsible for the research of all corporate actions, domestic and international based on capital change information received from all information sources. Upon authentication of the event, a formal dissemination of the event information is supplied to all investment officers, portfolio managers, traders, the settlement team and legal department. Investment accounting techniques are then applied for the processing of the capital change in a timely manner. Analyzed system processing parameters and portfolio inventory while providing accounting reports.

On a daily basis researched and disseminated all authenticated corporate action event information; posted those (mandatory /voluntary events) transactions using investment accounting techniques. Ensured funds wee available in all accounts to cover payouts and other funding needs in relation to corporate actions. Conducted reviews of and covered disbursements of all cash dividends and corporate note interest payments to client accounts on payable date. Responsible for maintaing the asset master data base and building security instruments for new accounts with in kind contributions and new assets as a result of a corporate actions.

Served as the primary staffing contact for assigned relationships with Trust Administrators in relation to corporate action activities. Upon receiving instructions; determine the appropriate instruction action and authorized event processing via DTCC. Worked closely in trade settlement processing in relation to current corporate actions taking place. Assisted in the handling of trade affirmations and confirmations; executing trade corrections when necessary. Conducted reviews of company bankruptcies, defaulted corporate notes/ municipal bonds and worthless securities and any client account compensation of these security types.
