Ochsner LSU Health System of North Louisiana is a partnership between Ochsner Health, the largest health system in the state of Louisiana, and LSU Health Shreveport, which includes the School of Medicine and Health Sciences Center, providing healthcare to more than 140,000 patients across North Louisiana, East Texas and South Arkansas. With more than 20 locations, Ochsner LSU Health includes multiple outpatient facilities, clinics, three acute care hospitals—including North Louisiana’s only Level 1 Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center at its 407-bed hospital and a 122-bed hospital with women's and children's services in Shreveport, La. and a 244-bed hospital in Monroe, La with a designated as a Level III Trauma Program—as well as Louisiana Behavioral Health, providing inpatient and intensive outpatient mental health services in partnership with Oceans Healthcare. The system has more than 4,600 employees that work along the Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport Physician Group of nearly 500 physicians in more than 70 specialties and subspecialties.

Provided transitional and executive coaching as well as government relations following the merger of Lafayette General Health and Ochsner Health in October 2020. Also serve on the Ochsner Lafayette General Foundation Board and OLGF Innovation Fund Committee. In this role, provided guidance and oversight for four startup companies within the fund.

Areas of responsibility: Provide overall direction of community, not-for-profit system that includes 1,200 employees & 300 volunteers with net revenues of $150M per year, including our two successful physician partnerships. A VHA member, the hospital serves 120,000 residents in northeastern Indiana with a medical staff comprised of 120 physicians (23 employed). Services include general acute care, a 41,000 visit per year Emergency Department, 900 births annually and a dedicated Joint Replacement Center. Hospital completed a $23M expansion and renovation in 2004. In last four years, have opened new programs in cardiology (angioplasty), acute rehabilitation, interventional radiology and wound care. Have maintained hospital's A+ bond rating, 19% EBIDA, achieved a 3.02% margin in FY '07 and currently have over 400 days cash on hand. Hospital has achieved Healthgrades Five Star Award in Orthopedics in 2006 and 2007, Magnet Accreditation survey conducted by ANCC in 11/07, 4-time winner of "Most Wired" Rural hospital award and VHA quality award winner in 2007. Hospital became a StuderGroup partner in 2007 and is consistently in the 90th percentile or above in Press Ganey for patient satisfaction.

Accomplishments: Patient Satisfaction ranking raised to #3 out of 117 hospitals in Tenet during FY 2002. Designed and implemented North Central Heart Centers, in conjunction

Areas of responsibility: Overall direction of system that included 8 employed physician offices and 7 rural health clinics (21 employed physicians in total). Hospital served a 150,000 population in north central Arkansas with a medical staff comprised of 105 physicians and approximately 700 employees. Services included extensive Cardiology program, including Open Heart; Neurosurgery, Acute Rehab, Geriatric Psychiatry, Home Health and general acute care. Opened new programs in Bariatrics, Acute Brain Injury and Wound Care. Successful in physician recruitment, including five primary care physicians and one specialist. Departed Tenet as hospital was sold to Triad.Served as Chief Operating Officer

Accomplishments: Patient Satisfaction ranking rose from 109th out of 117 hospitals in Tenet during FY 1999 and 2000 to #1 ranking in Tenet Healthsystem for 3rd Quarter FY 2000 and December 2000. Implemented customer service task force and employee reward system, called High Five, in 1/99. Organized several department relocations, renovations reductions and reorganizations, including Senior Care Transportation Initiative during the divestiture process which lasted; Areas of responsibility: Direction of hospital operations and strategic direction of an inner-city hospital that focused primarily on specialty services, including Bariatrics, Wound Care and Geriatric services. Accomplishments: Ranked #1 in Tenet on combined survey of patient satisfaction, employee opinion, and financial performance. 6/98Coordinated the opening of a 10-bed Acute Rehabilitation Unit and implemented new employee performance improvement process in 1997. Facilitated the Evaluation, Planning, Development, and Implementation of new Occupational Medicine Center and opened Urgent Care Center in 1996.
