Managing the day to day HR operations of this major Australian based manufacturer in Pakenham Melbourne Victoria

Vemco Group; is a power, telecommunications and infrastructure contracting company with a workforce of over 600 employees and contractors in every Australian State & Territory. The group commenced operations in 1995 and includes Vemco, Vemtec, Linepro and Aerial Devices Australia and all of which trade under the licensed trademark "Vemco Group". The Group's customers include power utilities, infrastructure contractors, land developers and co-generation development companies, councils, road, rail and water authorities, mine and electrical asset owners and telecommunications companies. The group has a strong capability to manage end to end projects, from concept design through to commissioning and delivery.

McConnell Dowell; is a subsidiary of the South African based Company the Aveng Group. Based in Australia they are multi-national tier one construction company that employs over 9,000+ employees worldwide. The company specializes in the construction of complex major infrastructure projects throughout Australia, Southeast Asia, Middle East, New Zealand and Pacific Regions. These include Construction, Engineering, Rail, Civil, Marine, LNG SMP, Electrical, Pipeline and Tunneling Sectors. My role was the HR/Resources Manager for the Australian Operations Group based in Melbourne.

AES; are a mechanical, construction services industry provider, which primary function is direct contracting of various classifications for short and long term assignments within the mechanical construction and rail sectors. These included professional staff, skilled and non skilled persons. To compliment the business they had several strategic maintenance contracts with various well known companies throughout Victoria. My role was the State Manager which overseen the commercial aspects of the business group as well as managing all HR operations and employee relations issues pertaining to the business

Chelgrave; is a labour hire and engineering, construction maintenance contracting firm with a strong successful reputation in delivering diverse engineering and construction methodologies to various companies throughout Australia. My role was Area Manager Western Region Victoria. This included managing existing accounts as well as continuous new business development, My main objective was responsible for the commercial and profit outcomes for the region as well as managing the well being of all our permanent staff and contractors across projects and assignments.

Concept Engineering; is a well entrenched labour hire engineering services company. It was founded back in the early seventies by a pioneer that took the industry head on and is now one of the longest standing labour hire companies in Australia. It now has branches throughout Australia. My role was State Manager Victoria; one of my challenges was able to take the company through the recession in the late 90’s with minimal scars. This was due to securing a handful of lucrative contracts prior to the recession.

Kirby Engineering Services; A division of the parent company James N Kirby Group. They formed back in the mid eighties. A new labour hire company just new to the Australian market. This was my foundation into the labour hire industry for me. With strong financial backing from its parent company. Kirby Engineering was able to maintain a strong market share across the Engineering, Manufacturing Production, Professional and the Construction Industry sectors. After 2 years with the company I moved into a new position of Area Manager Southern Region.
