David Campbell Email and Phone Number
I first joined Pratt and Whitney Canada as a CMM inspector/programmer. Two years later I was chosen for the role of Quality Review Inspector, and in 1996 promoted to Material Review Investigator. In 2022 I added a role in Product Center Engineering to my responsibilities. My duties include evaluating and dispositioning raw material and machining defects, repair development, specification revision, training of new staff and and the occasional special project such as the introduction of AI inspection to our integrally bladed fan line and working with vendors and customers at their facilities to resolve technical issues and improve quality. Most of my work has been with complex magnesium, titanium and aluminum structural cases and gearboxes, covers, pumps, vanes, turbine and compressor blades, turbine engine subassemblies, and our latest program, the integrally bladed fan for our PW800 engines. In 2024 my responsibilities were combined into the new role of Manager, Material Verification and Control at the Halifax facility. In my spare time I've had a number of volunteer roles. In the past I've worked with the Red Cross in emergency response and have been a volunteer math tutor. Currently I work at a charity thrift store repairing electronic and mechanical donated goods, and have been a volunteer firefighter for over 20 years.
