I am a determined and ambitious person with communication skills, media experience, problem solving credentials and a desire to succeed in the media sector.I know what its like to work in a commercial station and it’s helped me to contribute positively to its output. I blame my passion on a misspent childhood listening to IRN news updates, Atlantic 252 and an interest in the UK Singles Chart. My career was launched in the cultural hub of Paisley back in 1999 on FPR Community Radio. Since then I’ve danced with Craig Charles in BBC Manchester, helped take calls for Late Night Gina McKie at Clyde 1, been the voice of MFR Showbiz updates, scripted live reads and met Melinda Messenger for Real News. I also presented my first show on Subcity Radio in the early hours of a Monday morning, during a mini student invasion in the studio. I played American Football during my studies at Glasgow Caledonian University, was a staff sergeant in the Boys’ Brigade and former member of Paisley Youth Theatre. I’ve always had an interest in media, which led me to do a BA Hons in Communication and Mass Media.Over the summer, I also performed as a Cast Marshal at both the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
