Hello!My name is David Campbell III. I am currently the CEO/Lead Software Engineer at Pie On A Plate Productions, a small independent software company I founded. I also work as a 5-star rated teacher to hundreds of students worldwide and frequently engage in freelance software development.Although I am currently a senior at Fort Hays State University majoring in Computer Science, I consider myself a lifelong learner of all things computer science. My office bookshelf is filled with the brim with computer science and engineering textbooks that I am currently engrossed in, and I own more Udemy courses than I care to admit. My interests include topics ranging from game development (both engine level and game programming) to general software design using higher-level languages like Java and C#, to the performance of C++, C, and low-level assembly code of embedded systems. I specialize in backend development, however, I greatly desire to advance into new areas of study, such as web development using technologies like the MERN stack, as well as more hands-on engineering of computer systems such as electrical engineering and computer engineering. After earning my Bachelor's, I'd love to pursue a Master's in Computer Science, followed by a Ph.D.I feel the key to personal and professional development is the genuine desire to learn as much as you can in the field you have chosen to dedicate yourself to, with mine being computer science. Through this dedication, the only growth that one is limited to is the self-imposed limits one imposes on themselves. Computer science will forever remain a passion in my life, as I cannot see myself happier exploring any other subject that presents that same depth and beauty of creation that computer science provides.If you can't work for a purpose larger than yourself and envelope yourself in a body of knowledge that can, has, and will continue to change what it means to be a human in the continuing dawn of this digital age, why even bother working at all?
