At Airey Miller Partnership I led the cost consultancy team providing cost planning and pre- and post contract cost control. In two years the team produced estimates and cost plans for around 400 schemes totalling £7.7 billion. On the 31-storey Dollar Bay apartment building in docklands I acted as Cost Consultant and Employer's Agent.

At calfordseaden I headed a team of QSs in the regeneration group providing cost planning and cost management for a wide range of residential and commercial projects including small conversions and extensions, new-build infill schemes and multi-phase estate regeneration projects with clients including many housing associations.

My two years at Davis Langdon were spent working on commercial projects including an £11 million owner-occupied office refurbishment and fit-out in Westminster, a £9 million tourist market rebuild in north London and £125 million low energy sustainable offices and TV studios in west London. I was a member of the CLM commercial team carrying out due diligence and budget negotiations for the 2012 Olympics Athletes' Village project.

At Gardiner & Theobald I worked on a wide variety of projects including high quality corporate fit-outs for Diageo and Cinven, a £12 million luxury private house refurbishment in Belgrave Square, a £25 million owner-occupier luxury residential project in Chelsea, a residential extension of a private members' club and two new office buildings in Hampshire. I also provided early cost advice on a number of masterplanning projects included a £800 million scheme in north London and £30 million infrastructure improvements in Wolverhampton.

At BTP I was cost consultant and employer's agent for two Thames-side residential apartment blocks and an office scheme in central London involving the refurbishment and extension of an early 20th century town hall and library. I also handled the cost management of a fire remediation project in Lancaster Gate, Kensington.

Projects at Cyril Sweett & Partners and Cyril Sweett Project Consultants included a number of refurbishment schemes on period properties such as a derelict early 20th century office building above a central London tube station and reconstruction of a bomb damaged building in Bishopsgate. I was site based for a year on the construction of the 18-storey 125 London Wall next to the Barbican. I carried out programme analysis and claims evaluation in support of litigation over the construction of the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital.
