I graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in December 2016. Upon graduating, I worked over four years as an employee of Dixie in four different roles of increasing responsibility. Dixie, a subsidiary of Georgia-Pacific (GP), manufactures paper cups, paper plates, paper bowls, and plastic lids. Peak production for Dixie was almost two billion cups per year. In March 2021, I relocated to Chicago to work for Home Chef. My current role at Home Chef is the maintenance manager of the Bedford Park and Bridgeview plants where I am responsible for the automation, facilities, technicians, contractors and CapEx projects.
