Strategic Adviser and Non-Executive Director Services

- Quarterly and annual consolidated worldwide income tax provision reports and disclosures;- Ensuring tax compliance, including income, indirect tax and resource levies for all jurisdictions- Providing leadership to the tax organisation (including external tax consultants), that is aligned with company values and supports fiscal success; demonstrating ownership and responsibility for succession management and talent development; - Monitoring and ensuring compliance with changing tax laws (including OECD action on Base Erosion & Profit Shifting) and providing input to management on changes that could impact on the Horizon group;- Partnering with Commercial, Treasury, Legal, Business Development, HR and Finance on tax matters relating to new products and services, contracts, new business ventures, acquisitions and divestitures, funding transactions/decisions, acquisition tax due diligence and structural planning, and ensuring that deals are structured in the most tax advantageous way and that tax implications are fully considered; - Developing tax plans to reduce tax cash flows and the effective tax rate; - Developing and maintaining the group’s transfer pricing policies and allocations to ensure they are aligned with countries and local requirements/legislation; - Managing and overseeing tax related audits, including required internal and external coordination; - Enhancing the tax organisation’s reporting systems and processes as well as the related internal controls; - Coordinating with the Treasury Department on international cash management;- Providing consistent leadership on tax matters that impact business and strategic programs; - Prioritising and coordinating the delivery of tax risk management and ensuring the adoption of best practice;- Leading periodic reviews of tax policy and business activities.
