My research explores the intersection of sustainability, economics, and finance. I aim to understand the dynamic forces that underpin natural and human systems. My highly applied work is geared towards providing policymakers and financial actors with the tools they need to deliver a sustainable and resilient future.

My research sits at the intersection of climate, sustainability, and finance. I seek to understand the dynamic systems that underpin the natural and human environment. My aim is to empower financial actors to accelerate the transition to a just, sustainable future. I also support executive capacity-building as a climate and sustainability expert.

I led the creation UNEP-FI's Risk Centre, a research and action hub for financial institutions to explore and assess climate, nature, and other environmental risks. Before that, I oversaw climate risk work through the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) programs for banks and investors. My team supported over 100 financial institutions around the world in understanding the implications of climate change on their businesses and the economy overall. My work centered around developing and implementing best practices for identifying, assessing, managing, and disclosing climate risks and opportunities. I provided capacity-building, practical tools, and guidance on topics including: physical and transition risks, climate modeling, climate scenario analysis, climate opportunities, and regulatory developments.

I was part of Oliver Wyman’s Risk and Public Policy Practice within Financial Services. A sampling of my projects included: helping to place over $10BN of structured products into the European reinsurance market, evaluating the derivatives trading practice of an international financial institution, improving operations and profitability at a major retail institution, designing a new suite of market risk models, and conducting due diligences on private equity acquisition targets.I also served as Oliver Wyman’s social impact manager, where I helped grow the firm’s social impact footprint through the acquisition of new nonprofit and foundation clients.

The Active Citizen creates accessible, meaningful, and fulfilling experiences for young professionals with a passion for social justice. We have created a network of young adults in New York that partners with non-profits, companies, and individuals to deliver educational, social, and direct service opportunities. Our vision is to build a community in New York where individuals can deepen their connections to social issues, to the city, and to each other.

I worked at Kiva with their U.S. team for six months as part of Oliver Wyman’s non-profit fellowship program. In that time, I focused on managing risk, improving operations, and developing partnerships to grow our impact. My work in risk involved quantifying predictors of repayment and running A/B testing on collection strategies. In operations, I grew our referral program nationwide and improved our loan review process. On partnerships, I built relationships between Kiva and other micro-finance institutions (MFIs) to provide a pathway for our borrowers to continue their business growth. Now, I am managing the relationship between Kiva and Oliver Wyman, a collaboration that has yielded a whitepaper on the role of MFIs in the credit ladder.

I worked with Marketing Professor Carey Morewedge to create and design studies related to decision making and utility. In that role, I created and ran experiments as well as statistically analyze the data to draw conclusions. I also participated in seminars in the Social and Decision Science graduate program at CMU and presented a poster at the Society for Consumer Psychology conference on consumer financial decision-making.

At PNC, I focused on three areas: drawing conclusions about the performance of the model based on our statistical testing and economic intuition, expanding the scope of our reviews to cover a more comprehensive view of model risk, and creating processes that allow our model risk function to operate more efficiently and effectively. I validated Retail Models, Wholesale Models, Economic Capital Models, AML Models, and Securitization Models. This work contributed to a deep understanding of a financial institution, its key businesses, and its regulatory requirements.I also was the Technology Chairperson for PNC's Young Professional Group.
