Following from the Young Technicians Academy, we are focusing on the commercial aspect of the industry, providing event services and hire to clients across the UK.

Following the success of the Young Technicians CIC, and Fenland Youth Radio CIC, the Young Techs are opening the Young Technicians Academy in summer 2021 in Yaxley. The Academy will be a base for all training in the arts industry, both on stage, off stage, on camera and behind the camera. I am so grateful to take on the General Manager position of this fantastic multi purpose Academy!

Fenland Youth Radio is a 24/7 community radio station powered by the youth providing a service for the the community. The Young Technicians CIC are the team behind Fenland Youth Radio, expanding their knowledge of educating students on the live events production training, to the airwaves.

Yaxley Festival is a three day, free to enter, community festival attracting over 30,000 visitors each year. My role on the Executive Committee for the festival required my involvement in the planning, execution and review of the festival. I attended regular meetings prior to the festival where we would brainstorm outside the box ideas, to ensure our community festival would inspire audiences from all walks of life, attract members of the community who would not normally attend community-based activities, bring together the different guises of the community while focusing on improving the quality of life for the people of Yaxley.I was responsible for the application, selection and management of all performers. During the application process, I led a small team to narrow down the 100s of bands who applied to the final 50 bands who perform across the 3 stages at the festival. My role was to ensure that all teams (the performers, production team, security, and crew) were kept up to date with clear, concise details and instructions to enable the festival to run as efficiently as possible. This relied on my excellent communication and organisational skills ensuring no detail, however small, was missed. Ultimately, I created a successful programme providing a well-balanced festival that appealed to the whole community.
