Compliance Specialist
CurrentAs a Compliance & Operations Specialist, I spearheaded the implementation of compliance programs and policies, utilizing internal controls and auditing systems to ensure adherence toindustry and location-specific regulations. Key responsibilities included overseeing accurate and timely data entry into the state-mandated seed-to-sale tracking system (METRC), analyzing system-generated information, maintaining employee agent card lists, conducting physical inspections of licensed facilities, and assisting in policy development and training. Additionally, deliver compliance training and consulting to operational teams, reported security equipment malfunctions/facility incidents, maintained company records (business/tax licenses, facility specific SOPs, invoices, etc). managed packaging and equipment submissions for regulatory review, provided assistance with inventory cycle counts and audits, and conducted product variance research and reporting. Required reporting to state, quarterly inventory reports, annual Cannabis Compliance Board facility audits, waste destructions, responses to facility specific statements of deficiency after Cannabis Compliance Board walk through audits,etc.
