AccentCare is a national provider of home health, hospice, and personal care services across 31 states. The company provides care to over 200,000 patients a year with its 30,000 employees. My team works with leadership across the organization to analyze new and current market expansion through mergers and acquisition, joint venture opportunities, and opening De Novo offices. The team works with regional leadership to identify new office real estate, implement IT infrastructure, build back office applications for field operations (Electronic Medical Record, HR, Compliance, Referral, and Clinical systems), business development plans, and recruitment of field positions across the country.

In August 2020 I took on a dual Executive Director role that consisted of Home and Community Based Services and Affordable Housing. Home and Community Based services, which was included in my previous role, consisted of Home Health, Hospice, and Private Duty. LSS has 10 Affordable Housing locations across Missouri and Illinois that will now fall under my role and responsibilities. Key initiatives for Affordable Housing are integrating operations into the overall LSS system along with strong financial and compliance performance.

LSS has campuses across the STL, Central Illinois and Central Missouri. LSS provides Independent Living, Assisted Living, Affordable Housing, Long Term Care, Short Stay Rehab, and Home Based Services. I oversee Home Based Services which consist of skilled home health, hospice, and private duty services and our 10 Affordable Housing properties. Primary responsibilities are P&L oversight, process/operations improvement, yearly budget planning, business development, quality control, medicare/private insurance/private reimbursement, team building/development, strategic thinking/planning, and program innovation.

HRS is a privately held home health and private duty company that services the Chicagoland area. I began my healthcare career at HRS and learned so much about the industry and how to start something from the ground up. I started the private duty portion of HRS along side the owners. Primary responsibilities in the beginning were getting licensed by the state, hiring proper staff, scheduling, business development, developing processes and policies. After a couple of years of working all aspects of the business I played a key role in integrating the operations of private duty with the home health business line. This included recruiting/hiring, scheduling, patient intake, billing and AR, sales and business development. I began working with the billing side of certified home health and I learned a great deal about clinical operations and insurance based reimbursement. HRS provided me the tools for a solid foundation in healthcare and the lessons I learned there I still use today.
