Project Vehicle Test Engineer

Test engineer assigned to Nissan technical center Europe. BarcelonaDepartment: Engine Cooling, HVAC & Heat Resistance TestSpecialized on Thermal management (Engine cooling, Air intake, Exhaust systems, Transmission, engine Heat damage and HVAC ).Main responsabilities:-Design of test plans in order to validate the correct performance (cooling & heat damage) during the development of new Nissan vehicles.-Design of test plans in order to apply cost reduction ideas on Nissan vehicles.-Test of Nissan vehicles (cars, vans, trucks) on climatic wind tunnel, rolling bench or track.-Benchmarking of competitors (Audi, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Ford...)-Reports & conclusions

-Checking & developing motorbike brake systems: calipers, master cylinder and hydraulic hoses -Designing machines to improve the laboratory checks of calipers etc -Brake systems calculations

-Checking supplied products from China (calipers, master cylinders, hydraulic brake hoses, other components…) -Durability test (high, medium and low pressure )of calipers, master cylinders, hydraulic hoses -Testing prototypes in order to be standardised -Research studies of motorbike brake systems (rubber hoses, metallic hoses) -Vibration tests of brake systems, throttle cables and other components -Testing brakes systems, automotive components in climatic chamber (from -40ºC to 120ºC) -Testing cables (throttle, clutch, brake and speedometer cables) -Salt spray tests of automotive components -Feeling tests of system brakes -Calculation ratio springs by means of loads & displacemet tests -Heat transfer test (calipers-fittings) -Design of tools to test new materials, new products, prototypes... (Catia V5, NX4-Unigraphics) -Inertia dynamometer bench -Whip test of hydraulic hoses -Vehicle brake tester bench (quads, motorbikes) -Reports -Expansion tests (hydraulic hoses) -Brake discs -Explosion calipers and hidraulic brake hoses
