CurrentUnder the direction of the Residential Coordinator, Tom Lamothe Residence is a CommunityResidential Facility (CRF) operated by the John Howard Society of Ottawa (JHSO) under contract with theCorrectional Service of Canada (CSC). This residential program provides self-contained bachelor apartments to males who are on federal parole (CSC) and deemed at high risk of reoffending (mandatory residency). Rooted in community re-integration, the program provides case management and supervision to individuals who require a supportive living environment while they transition from incarceration to independent, pro-social, community living. Residents are expected to maintain employment and/or follow an academic program or participate in a treatment plan. Supports for residents include but are not limited to case planning, counseling (crisis, motivational, supportive), literacy and academic upgrading, workforce development, daily living, and life skills programming, as well as guidance in maintaining pro-social attitudes and behavior change.
