Under the direction of the Residential Coordinator, Tom Lamothe Residence is a CommunityResidential Facility (CRF) operated by the John Howard Society of Ottawa (JHSO) under contract with theCorrectional Service of Canada (CSC). This residential program provides self-contained bachelor apartments to males who are on federal parole (CSC) and deemed at high risk of reoffending (mandatory residency). Rooted in community re-integration, the program provides case management and supervision to individuals who require a supportive living environment while they transition from incarceration to independent, pro-social, community living. Residents are expected to maintain employment and/or follow an academic program or participate in a treatment plan. Supports for residents include but are not limited to case planning, counseling (crisis, motivational, supportive), literacy and academic upgrading, workforce development, daily living, and life skills programming, as well as guidance in maintaining pro-social attitudes and behavior change.

I, firstly, worked for the main office for the Bail Supervision department. My tasks included but were not limited to:- Assisting with the Record suspension program, the Bail Supervision program and the Anger Management class- Member of the EDI Committee- Dealing with sensitive information while accessing and managing clients files.- Guiding clients through remand court- Assisting the Anger Management program- Assisting clients with housing needs and services- Handling the reception and directing clients to the right worker and servicesI then worked in a Halfway house. My tasks included but were not limited to:- Promote residents successfully resolving conflict after hours while maintaining client and staff safety.- Escorting residents within the community for professional appointments and basic necessities; groceries, hygiene, shopping- Conduct Urinalysis testing when required- Ensure a comprehensive understanding of CRF Operations Manual as well as the role/responsibilities of a Residential Coordinator and Case Management team and how they interrelate.- Prepare apartments for occupancy- Cleaning after apartments have been vacated by existing residents, possible packing, and labeling and storing residentʼs belongings.- In accordance with established guidelines, it will be necessary to record information associated with the client(s) interactions, interactions with Police Officers, Parole- Supervisors and National Duty Officer and with the Support Workerʼs response to various situations.- Ensure that the clients are following their parole conditions as well as the house rules and resolve conflict if any was to arise.

Tasks included but were not limited to: - Assist professor's with Discussion groups- Allocated weekly office hours to answer questions for students regarding class content and preparation for the exam- Answer e‑mails from the students concerning all class‑related matters- Prepare and correct the exams in a timely manner- Allocate office hours for students to review and get comments on the correction of their exams- Be present during class hours- Be present during exams to answer questions and ensure an efficient and goodexam session.

Tasks included but were not limited to:- Participate in inter‑disciplinary meetings for the purpose of identifying clientsʼ needs, progress and discharge planning- Provide milieu based interventions as established by the inter‑disciplinary team to support clients and families in the achievement of established goals.- Provide support and crisis intervention to clients accessing YSBʼs 24/7 telephone and online chat support services during designated periods; provide support to YSBʼs Mobile Crisis team when needed.- Ensure that documentation is maintained according to unit policy and procedures including client files and admission forms, plans of care (including goals/action), daily log and summary reports.- Safeguard client confidentiality, Rights and responsibilities- Support the stabilization of clients accessing the program and coordinate with other- YSB services as appropriate.- Advocate for clients and facilitate access to community resources and services.- Prepare and make sure that youth eat their meals according to the Canadian Alimentation Guide

I have worked for many different department. Ranging from front end departments such as Seasonal Department, Lumber department or Customer service desk to back end departments such as Shipping and Receiving associate, Order Picker, Delivery, etc. Here is a summary of the task I had to do for different departments:- Provide excellent customer service according to the Home Depotʼs values. (Seasonal Associate, Lumber associate)- Ask open ended questions about customerʼs projects in order to determine their needs and level of expertise. (Seasonal Associate, Lumber associate)- Receiving special orders, following appropriate procedures to ship and receive transferred merchandise, unloading merchandise. (Receiving associate) - Resolve issues, assess customer needs, and coordinate all order related activities in partnership with the Project Support Centre, Delivery Company, vendors and service providers in a timely and professional manner. (Service Desk associate, Order picker)- Process checkout and obtain payment (Cashier)- Assisting and help them load product into their vehicles. (Lot associate)- Ability to multitask
