• Responsible for personnel training, product quality, manufacturability, planning, engineering and all other functions as they relate to custom marine hydraulic, electro-hydraulic and mechanical products. Resident expert supporting in-house and field personnel as well as dealers and final customers. • Generally and totally revamped hydraulic product lines from simple “stick-built” assemblies to purpose built integrated manifolds using existing excess factory assembly/machine shop capacity. These changes resulted in higher product quality, less cost and ultimately saved jobs within our factory.• Led the change from a garage mentality with little or no record keeping to a process driven manufacturing environment with expected inputs/outputs, measureable quality results and the ability to investigate non-conformances where they occur.• Drove product costs down thru supplier competition, overseas sourcing and process and tooling improvements.• Work with sales to develop user friendly systems and literature. Regularly provide design and build direction to sales/customers thru in person and phone contact. Provide customer training and act on customer requests for new custom product design. • Within 18 months of joining Arcturus I designed and built an entirely new custom product line (ABT QuietPower HPU). This product can now be found in approximately 10% of our systems and comprises nearly 70 models over 90+ iterations. All units are completely designed and built by myself with no engineering input from within the factory.

• Acted as the resident expert and provided technical support to various Agilent commodity teams (Mostly RF and LF interconnects but also mechanical devices, heat sinks, epoxies, resins, passive electronic components, solenoids, manuals.
