I manage all aspects of commercial printing operations, serving clientele that includes these daily newspapers: San Francisco Examiner, Daily Journal, World Journal, Napa Valley Register, Epoch Times, and Korea Daily Times. My duties and responsibilities include: hiring and staffing; client relationship management; scheduling daily shifts for pre-press, press, and post-press; ordering company supplies; vendor management; client deliveries; onsite safety and accident prevention; building and equipment maintenance; yearly budget preparation; monthly monitoring of P&L. I manage team of 50 direct reports with direct oversight of annual budget, and negotiate contractor service agreements for emergency breakdown support. Among my achievements:❖ “I’m hard working, loyal, and I never say ‘no’ to a customer.”❖Built a commercial printing operation from a struggling small business to its current status as a profitable, sustainable, and in-demand enterprise serving a number of high-profile clients. ❖Never missed a product delivery deadline in 20+ years of fulfilling large and complex orders. ❖Built a culture of safety awareness and accident prevention from a prior environment where safety practices were seldom enforced. Designed and taught safety programs and training classes. Eventually achieved a very low accident rate.❖Implemented and managed processes and procedures that greatly reduced start-up waste from 25%-30% to under 10%. ❖Achieved an 80% retention rate of skilled employees despite the ever-changing business and technological landscape.
