As the CoreSite Director of Security Programs I lead the strategic direction and oversight of the organization’s access and control security system, company assets and security/safety procedures with a focus on data centers in major metropolitan markets nationally. I collaborate with other corporate leaders to develop and implement company-wide strategies to effectively identify and avoid or minimize the impact of internal and external physical threats to the company employees, customers and other physical security assets. Key Accomplishments:  Led the planning and implementation in a company-wide initiative to transition security services from contractual to proprietary security. Responsible for the development and continuous updates of the security operations SOP and other supporting policies and procedures. Steers and directs on-going analysis, planning, implementation and deployment of access control infrastructure (both hardware & software), as well as the physical deployment of both proprietary security officers and contract security officers.  Leads multiple ongoing data center construction security related projects and customer build out projects within time and budget in coordination with construction, security integrators and in collaboration with multiple departments.  Leads security audit implementation, management and compliance including monitoring and evaluating multi-site performance related to SOC1, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA and other compliance activities pertaining to other standards on key security issues and programs, recommends corrective action standard operating procedures.  Responsible for and effectively manages the security program national budget.

Sworn police officer who upheld the law and protected the citizens of Mountain View and San Jose for approximately 14 years. Key Accomplishments: Responded to, investigated and adjudicated criminal and civil matters by applying appropriate department policy, case law, penal code and personal judgment. Collaborated closely with the District Attorney’s office investigating and documenting detailed and complicated criminal matters and appearing as a witness for the State of California.  Strong working knowledge of Health and Safety Code and court certified as expert in the possession of and being under the influence of various controlled substances and alcohol.  Department trained as a Crisis Intervention Officer by the City of San Jose and took the lead in handling of high risk calls involving mentally disturbed subjects and individuals under the influence of controlled substances.

As a State Farm supervisor, I successfully managed the bodily injury and property damage investigative claims unit and expanded my tort law knowledge as a products liability and commercial claims examiner with Chubb Insurance.Key Accomplishments: In conjunction with hired counsel, prepared cases for binding arbitration and settlement conferences. Red flagged cases involving suspected fraud and assisted the company SIU (Special Investigative Unit) department in aggressively investigating and reporting fraud to the California Department of Insurance. Conducted detailed investigations with policyholders and witness to determine facts and ultimately determine liability.
