Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Brigade Administrative Officer for all 140 enlisted full-time supportpersonnel. Manages and oversees the administration of the Command’s school program. Reviews personnel qualification reports within the Command for the purpose of identifying individual military education requirements. Reviews, approves and forwards forecasts of individual training requirements of the organization and its subordinate elements. Resolves significant issues or problems in eligibility and prerequisite completion and quota allocation for individual training. Reviews, validates, records and forwards approved automated Requests For Orders (RFO). Provides technical guidance and assistance to subordinate elements in planning, coordinating, preparing, conducting, and documenting individual and collective training. Assists the training officer in the development and review of training directives, deployment planning and readiness reporting. Conducts command readiness inspections and other evaluations of subordinate training operations, security, safety, and deployment readiness planning. Reviews training schedules to ensure they are commensurate with the Commander/S3's priorities. Reviews and provides technical guidance for proper preparation of subordinate organization’s training assessments. Prepares consolidated organizational training assessment reports. Ensures subordinate units training and METL are recorded timely and accurately in DTMS. Manage and provide subject matter expertise in the following systems: ATRRS, DTMS, CUSR, TAMIS, RFMSS, MARRS-N, DTSand any/all training and operations systems. Ensures all tasks and suspense for training and operations are updated on BN Task Tracker and completed on-time. Manage and approve leave for all enlisted personnel.

Serves as the primary point of contact for input into Unit readiness and administrative reports. Performs continuous analysis and refinement of Unit readiness and administrative data to ensure validity, currency, accuracy, and availability to Battalion headquarters. Manages the military school program of the Unit. Coordinates with higher headquarters to obtain quotas for personnel to attend schools. Monitors use of school quotas, training support mandates, and other training resources when they are allocated to the Unit. Ensures school applicants are eligible to attend the schools and all prerequisites are met. Actively monitors and manages Unit level readiness and training databases for the unit such as (but not limited to): ATRRS, DTMS, IPPS-A, AFAM, DTS, MARRS-N, DAMPS-Orders, and any/all operations, administrative and training platforms. Ensures the armory is properly cared for and safeguarded. Coordinates with the armorer to ensure the building is cleaned and ready for use. Maintains working relationships with local officials, clubs, etc., for a variety of purposes such as, armory security coordination with police, suitability investigations, armory rental, Unit participation in celebrations; or, fund raising drives, and emergency operations and homeland security. Provides daily supervision of AGR Supply Sergeants assigned to the Unit. Coordinates with higher level supervisors. Refers problems to the proper command level to be solved.

Works closely with the supply sergeant, Readiness NCO and the Company Commander toresource training, schedule training events, acquires equipment, coordinates unit movement, and muchmore. Works closely with the BN AGR to ensure all suspense’s/taskers are completed promptly. Handles the day-to-day unit operations during the week and advises the Command Team on unitneeds/concerns. Fixes issues the Company Commander and Det. Sergeant bring to their attention. Attends RECON/site visits and meetings, tends to various Soldier needs, handles inventories w/the Supply Sergeant, and more. Advises the commander on training, logistics, and unit mobilization readiness requirements. Prepares and/or reviews SOP’s, readiness reports, training plans, directives, procedures, reports, and assessments for the unit and individuals assigned. and manages the military school program of the unit. Prepares requests for equipment and training support from higher, adjacent, and other military commands. Ensures that all flight training and maintenance requirements are coordinated with facility personnel and assists with flight operations whenever required. Responsible for military resourcing and training by devising and implementing training plans, guidelines and procedures, reports and assessments for the unit and individuals assigned. Manages the military schools program at the unit level as required to include ATRRS, AFAM, and DTS. Coordinates, schedules, and monitors the use of training facilities, areas and ranges for annual and inactive duty training.

This position is responsible for safely switching railcars and safe train movement. Freight Conductors are responsible for the train and its operation. Additional responsibilities include obtaining and receiving information and acting on oral or written instructions by various communication devices. Climb on/off equipment, set/release hand brakes, couple/uncouple air hoses, remove/replace broken railcar knuckle, ride moving cars by holding onto grab irons or ladders. Observe, interpret and relay hand, lantern, and other signals for train movement. Operate track switches and derails to change train routing within yards or on road. Inspect cars per federal regulations.

Performed instruction/demonstration and student evaluations as required by the syllabi and Plan of Instruction (POI). Prepared classroom for instruction and ensure academic equipment, projectors, televisions, computer learning stations, etc., including uploading of computer-based training, if applicable, are functional. Provided technical support, planning, consultation, analysis, and expert advice to establish, maintain, and improve their respective area’s instruction. Served as the Range Safety Officer; ensured all safety requirements and regulations are complied with; conducted safety briefings; supervised and instructed Assistant Safety Officers (ASO) on their duties; ensured proper use and accountability of all ammunition; calls cease-fire when any safety violation were observed; verified all weapons are properly cleared. Supervised the handling and care of ammunition; responsible for the breakdown, safety, and issue of all ammunition being issued.
