David Charette, founding principal of Britto Charette, has completed compelling design projects throughout the Americas and the Middle East. He is responsible for coordinating, managing, and executing the creative aspects of Britto Charette’s commercial and interior designs. With more than 25 years of experience in interior architecture and master planning, he brilliantly combines form and function in projects that are both large and small in scope. David’s progressive design initiatives include luxury residential, higher education, GSA, and corporate campuses. David possesses a well-rounded understanding of the complexities of interior architecture, master planning, and space planning. David is a licensed interior designer and a registered member of NCIDQ, IIDA and ASID.

Since its creation in 2013, the Wynwood Board has worked to elevate the quality of life at the street level, as well as improve communications about the area with a thorough rebranding and the creation of the Wynwood map and guide. Recently, the Board successfully lead the effort to create a Neighborhood Revitalization District (NRD) Plan. The NRD plan is a set of zoning regulations that encourage mixed-use residential and office developments, create funding for neighborhood improvements, promote pedestrian-friendliness and safeguard the artistic and industrial character of the area. David's primary focus group is capital & regulatory affairs. This includes master planning implementation, zonning and transportation initiatives.

The purpose of the Wynwood Design Review Committee (WDRC) is to review and recommend to the Director of Planning and Zoning and the Urban Development Review Board (UDRB), pursuant to the NRD-1 and Miami 21, whether the design of developments and/or improvements to properties within the boundaries of the NRD-1 are compatible with the cultural and architectural character of the Wynwood Arts District and guidelines that may be adopted from time to time.

The designer's bespoke furnishings are featured in many of his interior design company's (BRITTO CHARETTE) global projects. David also oversees the design of BC HOME’s luxurious handcrafted accessories. Inspired by ancient art and architecture, the porcelain objets d’art have garnered international press and accolades. They are now available in high-end boutiques and showrooms in the U.S. and Europe.
