My law firm represents nationwide those under investigation by the SEC, as well as SEC Whistleblowers.Out of law school, I started my legal career at Greenberg Traurig in Miami where I defended clients in securities regulatory cases. Thereafter, I joined the SEC where I served as Senior Counsel in the Enforcement Division in the Miami Regional Office, and also served as a Special Assistant US Attorney in the Economic Crimes Division where I investigated and prosecuted federal securities fraud cases. I have served as Court-appointed Receiver in several SEC and FTC enforcement cases in which I was charged by the Federal Court with protecting defrauded securities investors and consumers.I am currently an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Miami School of Law where I teach a course on SEC Enforcement, which includes the SEC Whistleblower Program. Previously, I was the Chairman of the Securities Litigation Committee of the Dade County Bar Association, and the Co-Chair of the Securities Enforcement Subcommittee of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association. I have authored articles on securities law matters, been invited to speak on SEC enforcement issues, and have been retained as an expert witness on securities law issues.
