• Profitably manages the SGS Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) business in line with budget targets and Group objectives focusing on analysis quality and client service.• Prepares capital and operating budgets. • Responsible for strategic planning and performance of tracing and logging operations in the U.S., including preparation and management of the annual operations budget. • Responsible for the profitability of U.S. operations including the timely preparation, completion, and submission of financial reports required by the company (e.g. “flash” reports). Analyzes district budget requests to identify areas in which improvements can be made. • Manages tracing and logging operations to ensure compliance with acceptable work habits, safety requirements, and company standards and policies. • Designs and manages systems to ensure that turnaround time, quality standards, and safety expectations are being met or exceeded. • Organizes and leads job schedules for the districts; ensures that District Managers have everything necessary to complete jobs correctly and safely. • Communicates regularly with service companies and clients for schedules, directions, and job procedures. Proactively communicates operational issues for effective, timely resolution. • Responsible for all aspects of leadership and management of U.S. operations staff to ensure alignment with company goals/targets

• Drive global product strategy and business execution processes across all functional groups of the company, e.g. operations, sales, engineering, R&D, and finance.• Analyze customer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships to deliver premium value.• Manage financial responsibilities, including annual budgeting, regular flash reports, variance reports, income statement analysis, capital expenditure requests, and headcount adjustments.• Promote entrepreneurial, organic growth through careful allocation of resources to ensure the highest return on investment.• Perform periodic business case analyses to evaluate strategic investments, partnerships, or acquisitions.• Lead all international project management process tasks, which include prospecting, sales, engineering design, operational execution, data interpretation, action plan development, and follow through.

• Manage laboratory operations. Oversee routine trace analysis of up to 2000 produced oil, water, and gas samples per week. • Maintain cost efficiencies in a high-volume production environment. • Perform route-cause analysis quality investigations for out-of-spec results, and communicate findings to responsible and affected parties. • Guide laboratory staff and R&D through expanding current product lines’ tracer portfolio. • Coordinate field-tests for the validation of new chemicals. • Negotiate sales contracts for bulk chemical purchases and vendor-managed laboratory supply needs. • Develop and commercialize analytical methods for new product lines. • Lead health, safety, and environmental compliance initiatives. • Write, review, and update all laboratory documentation including quality manual, proprietary methodology, and procedures.

• Design and optimize workflow in most efficient way possible. Monitor completion rates and improve overall productivity for entire staff. • Directly responsible for meeting expedite, rush, and otherwise time sensitive testing demands. Interpret and report preliminary data for high-priority samples while certificates of analysis are in process. • Maintain and create strong relationships with high-value clients. Primary point of contract for all testing requests and method or data related inquires. • Ensure quality of all laboratory activities. This includes: monthly method performance audits, and continual monitoring and analysis of QC data statistics and trends. • Ensure adequate staffing for after-hours and weekend testing programs. Reallocate human resources as laboratory activity and testing requirements dictate throughout the day. • Research, design, and manage special projects. Ensure proper staffing to meet unique client needs. Design temporary schedule through completion of the special project to minimize or eliminate a need for temporary staff. • Write SOPs and carryout chemist duties as required. • Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and upkeep for lab and instruments.

• Perform physical and chemical analysis for the chemical, petrochemical, and transportation industries.• Formally trained to perform over 200 ASTM, IP, and proprietary test methods.
