- Founding member of new team to put Shopping ads on surfaces outside google.com, with a focus on queryless surfaces such as the Youtube Home Feed- Developed the serving code and models to select the right offers for each user out of billions of possible products while meeting our latency budget (hundreds of ms) and serving billions of users.- Tech Lead for Advertiser Value, improving the advertiser’s ROI by running experiments (including counterfactuals), creating dashboards with accompanying analyses, and working closely with our partner teams (ranging from the Youtube front-end team to other backend ads teams). Improved conversion rates 100% in a recent launch on a new surface.- Designed and implemented search retrieval strategy for new ad format in collaboration with Discovery ads to show personalized product recommendations.

- Wrote code to collect system health and usage data from opted-in Android devices e2e from client-side code in Google Play Services to server-side code to process and log the data.- Wrote batch mapreduce jobs to process PB of logs and aggregate the data into tables that are convenient to query for analysts and downstream teams (such as the Play Developer Console).- Created the team’s first joined dataset by combining the appusage and error logs to produce the crash-rate table and designed the next-generation crash-rate collection system. The crash-rate dataset was one of the first tables shared on the Play Developer Console.

The Search Analytics team produces datasets that describe user behavior related to search activity on Amazon; our datasets help power the search engine and answer BI questions to support Amazon's ecommerce goals.

Analyzed next-gen sequencing data to determine the efficacy of our novel method for reverse-engineering biological networks. Designed genetic circuits for memory and communication in E. Coli cells.

Worked with two other editors to manage assignment of articles and photos to publish an issue every week. Implemented web application in Ruby on Rails/MySQL to use as our content management system.
