Responsible for development and sustainability of LCD glass manufacturing process for use in auto-focusing tunable lenses for use in mobile phones and biomedical applications.Primary Development responsibility includes researching and implementing new processes to follow company roadmap of transforming research facility into a scalable production facility with an output goal of 2M lenses per month.- Qualification of new equipment to improve process control and yield.- Design for Manufacturability (DFM) to ensure products meet cost and market requirements.- Design of Experiment study to qualify new processes: Liquid Crystal/Adhesives Dispensing, UV Curing, Vacuum Bonding.Initial process component qualification with subsequent full process qualifications.- Test fixture design and mechanical implementation (jigs, tools, equipment selection)Primary sustaining responsibilities - Troubleshooting problems on production line, determining root cause for scraps.- Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) to ensure products meet yield standards.- Continuous yield and improvement activities.- Ownership of production BOMs and materials.Project Management Responsibilities- Managing projects to meet target budget constraints.- Working with vendors/suppliers to ensure delivery time constraints are met.- Interfacing with product, test and reliability engineering groups to ensure new processes is qualified.Other responsibilities/projects- Lean Manufacturing, 6S implementation.- Yield Analysis/Data Modeling.- Writing procedures for processes.
