-Planning daily activities for dock coordinators, warehousemen & yard crew -Checking inbound and outbound equipment and supplies paperwork-Planning outbound voyages-Scheduling vessel activities when in port-Scheduling trucks for pick ups and drop off-Working with vendors to keep cost down-Scheduling usage of slip time-Doing US Customs & Border Protection import/export procedures and sending daily reports.-DOT Advance 49-Hazmat Training-Computer literate with the use of various computer systems.-The use of office equipment.

As Chief Engineer:-In charge of all engine room mechanical, electrical equipment, hydraulic systems, wheel house electronics, refrigeration and air condition systems.-Trouble shooting any problems that may occur on vessel. -Scheduling of daily, weekly, monthly and yearly maintenance and inspections.-Daily upkeep of engine room and making sure everything is working smoothly.-Assigning duties to assistant engineers and oilers.-Doing daily paper work for engineer room.-Making minor repairs as needed.-Making sure vessel is prepared for next voyage, US Coat Guard and ABS inspections.-Ordering materials needed for engine room.-Doing shipyard work and projects.As Mate:-Assigning deckhands their daily duties.-Doing daily paper work for vessel.-Making sure vessel is prepared for next voyage, US Coat Guard and ABS inspections.-Driving vessel.-Taking orders from the vessel Captain.
