The first thing to know about me is that I love the tech industry. After 15 years of commercial experience I still have the passion, drive and energy for all aspects of it.Whether it be hands off line management, or hands on coding as an individual contributor (which I do at home for fun...I know I'm a little twisted), I just love it all.With experience in multiple industries including Public Services, MedTech, iGaming, E-Commerce and SaaS, I bring a wide variety of expertise.As a leader / manager, my management style is a servant leader model. As a leader, it is my responsibility to do whatever I can to ensure the teams, and individuals success. Whether it is getting my hands dirty in terms of writing code, advising on the best architecture to use, how to set up AWS, or providing opportunities for growth, I do what I can for the team.I also subscribe to the leader-leader model (outlined by David L. Marquet), where I encourage people to come to me with 'This is what I intend to do', rather than 'Can I do this', to give them ownership of their work.As an individual contributor I have had extensive experience in the entire .Net and JavaScript eco systems, including VB.Net. C#, ASP.Net, .Net Core, React, Angular, Node.js, Next.js, Nest.js, TypeOrm, Express / Fastify / Koa, etc.I also have extensive experience with both RDBMSs and NoSQL implementations, in addition to experience building both REST and GraphQL APIs.While it may look like I have had a lot of roles over the last couple of years, it needs to be noted that this is due to working largely in Scale Up / Start Up companies, which have not had the best times in the current economy.I am a passionate student of the industry and continue to learn new skills and technology constantly. In fact, I am currently deep diving into Python!I am open to all different kids of roles from Senior Engineer to Head of Engineering, but if possible would like my next role to be working with AI, and possibly Python.
